The largest painting of the year so far. I was returning home on the subway in 2024 with two watercolors under my arm when a stranger asked if she could commission me to expand this palette to a large oil canvas for her entry way. The palette was new to me so I began a series of studies to see if the idea still worked in oil and at a larger size.
